I'm Murat, a Product Designer based in Istanbul. For over five years now, I've been shaping B2B and B2C products from early research through to final design. My path started at Studio Nord, where I learned that great design is mostly invisible. From there I moved through freelance work, Sofixe, and eventually Amaris Consulting, working on some of the most complex products I've touched: Turkish Airlines, Turkcell, BiP and more. I care about the details, about accessibility, about the systems behind the surface. Outside of work, solo travel is my biggest passion. I’ve been to 7 cities in 6 countries so far. In every new city I look for the local galleries and museums first, and I always end up meeting people I wouldn’t have met otherwise. My analog camera comes everywhere with me, and I love not knowing which moments made it until the film is developed. I also spend a lot of time in antique and flea markets. I try to keep my wardrobe sustainable, so I sell what I no longer wear and find most of my new pieces second-hand. And when I’m home, I’m usually trying a new recipe or baking something sweet.
